The old saying, “You are what you eat” still rings true. How your body operates depends a lot on what you’re putting in your “machine.” With an automobile, if it’s well fueled and oiled, it will run better, longer and faster. Your body is the same way. If you want to test this theory you could eat a bunch of junk food and then workout. How do you feel? Now eat some good proteins and good carbohydrates an hour and a half or so before you workout. How do you feel this time?

What you put into your body determines a great deal how you feel on a day to day basis and determines how effective and enjoyable your workouts will be for you. Are you looking forward to your next workout, or do you see each workout as a chore, wasting your time? If you’re not taking part in a fitness program that you look forward to, then you are eventually going to quit that program.

By eating healthy, you’ll find that your workouts are easier and more fun, you’ll start sleeping better, your attitude towards relationships and life will change for the better and you’ll find yourself living a lifestyle that you look forward to every day. Your fitness program should be a lifestyle. Make it a lifestyle and you’ll never regret it.
